Jen I just replaced the ice maker, but then it was only dispensing crushed ice no matter what the setting was. I read on your website that we would need to replace the ice bin, so I ordered it and put it in...it still is only making crushed ice. What else could be the problem?
Answer Jen, there is a solenoid that engages the arm on the ice container when you call for cubed ice. If you will remove the bin and look at the back where the arm goes into the back of the freezer section, there is a solenoid the is supposed to pull the arm of the bin up for cubed ice, if it is not working, it will never give you anything but crushed ice.
