James for Model Number MGR5755QDS My Broiler works but not my oven. I suspect the oven ignitor. I removed the lower cover and turned it on and it did not glow at all. I have not yet tried a continuity test on it yet that is my next step. Am I able to just use the broil ignitor in the oven ignitor plug as a test since i know the broil ignitor works. Wouldn't think they would draw different currents but wanted to make sure. Thanks
Answer James, Test for 3.2-3.6 vac at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
