Toni A. for Model Number FWS445RFS2 The washer fills and agitates and runs through the cycle until it gets to cool down. It will not then drain, final rinse or final spin. I replaced the lid swith and drain pump. I hear a humming noise but it does not click on. What could this problem be?
Answer Hi Toni. Where is the humming sound coming from ? Listen to see if it the control panel at the timer area ? If so, remove the control back cover to see if you verify the timer part # 131436800. If you do not hear it clicking on then you may not be sending voltage from the timer to the motor. Remove the front panel by removing the 2- screws from below the front panel and sliding the panel down and off. Now see if you hear it from the motor part # 134159500. The motor will normally be warm to touch , but not burning hot. Test for 120 vac at he motor on the red and the white wire when starting. If you do not get the power, replace the timer. If you get the power and the motor will not start, then replace the motor. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 7, 2012
