Ron for Model Number EIED55HMBO Dryer does not heat. I removed the canister thinking there was a broken wire and I was going to have my daughter order a new element. The wires passed a continuity test on all terminals. The only other parts are the thermostat which passed a continuity test but the limiter did not. Is that the likely culprit for no heat.
Answer Hello Ron, If the limiter is open the heating element will not be energized so you have located your issue. Be aware though, the limiter is normally opened because of an air flow issue caused by a restriction or clog in the exhaust duct, so you will need to verify the duct has a full 4 inch opening from the rear of the unit to the outside of the home.
