Carlos for Model Number DE500ADW5 Hi. Greetings from Peru. My frigidaire dryer DE500ADW5 overheats and the power to the heating element is not turned off. Besides, the wires and terminals to the heating element are getting chared. What could be the problem?
Answer Carlos, with the power cord unplugged, it is recommended that the heating element 3937010 is tested for continuity to ground. If the element is grounded, it can cause overheating and also cause the wires to overheat and char. Another possibility for the wires charring would be a loose wire connection to the terminals.
