Jt for Model Number FDE336RES1 Our dryer stopped working, I replaced the timer/switch but still get nothing. What other things can I check that would keep the motor from starting? I did try the 'hold the door switch and spin the drum test', with nothing happening. I suppose the last case scenario is replacing the motor...
Answer JT, There is a "one shot" thermal fuse 134120900 located on the back wall of the cabinet interior. If the fuse opens, due to high heat, or runaway temperature, it will eliminate power to the motor, and the dryer won't start or run. You're going to want to test or bypass the fuse temporarily to see if the dryer starts and runs. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 10, 2012
