J.R. for Model Number FGX831CS1 I replaced the dryer belt with one that was 1" too short. When it started up, the drive motor pulley sheared off. Is there a way to just replace the drive motor pulley part on the drive motor or will I need to replace the entire drive motor unit?
Answer Hello J.R., I'm sorry but you will have to replace the complete motor assembly 8581341966035. You will also need to replace the belt 137292700 with the one for your unit since a belt that is too short will spin the drum too fast and the clothes will not tumble properly.
