Frank for Model Number glgt1041as My wife overloaded the washing machine. It was running for a while before we noticed it smoking. It smoked up the whole house. Its in a tight spot so I have not been able to pull it out to look at it. do you think the motor and transmission are shot. Also could anything else be ruined.
Answer Hello Frank, This could be a broken belt, seized pulley on the transmission which would indicate that the brake may have failed not allowing release to let unit spin.
