Billy L. for Model Number PLHS68EESBA My freezer is not keeping things frozen, and there is a build up of ice in the back in one spot like a circle clump of ice. It makes ice and keeps that ok but won't freeze ice cream or keep meet completely frozen. I have replaced some parts before cause it was frosting up in the back of freezer and not cooling the refrigerator side. I replaced the thermostat in freezer, capacitor, starter, heater coil in freezer, and it worked for a bit but then is started to not freeze again as much. The refrigerator side stays constant at setting but freezer side seems to change temperature pretty fast, sometimes from 1 to 19 degrees or more. I don't think this model has a adaptive control board so I'm thinking its built in to the temperature control panel. Can you help me?
Answer Hello Billy, The "ice ball" in the back is an indication of a Freon loss. You should contact a Freon authorized technician to take some pressure readings on the high and low sides of the sealed system and check for leaks. Read More...
