Leonard for Model Number 790.46702603

I need to replace the small burner switch, original number 318369615 which now substitutes number 9031369010. The problem is the new replacement switch is larger, has a mechanical thermostat that is visible, and the connectors are located differently than on the original. There are two black wires, two white wires, and two red wires plus a grey wire attached to the larger black on the right side (looking down). I agree with the "take one wire off at a time and put it on the new switch, but how do I know which terminal to use for which wire? A picture diagram would have been helpful (even needed.) Help.

Answer

Leonard, The part is marked with lettering as well as the old one should. There should be L1, L2, H1, H2, and P next to the terminals on the switch and the black wires would be for L1 and the Red wire to L2, the H1 and H2 will be going to the elements so will have to see which one they are and the P terminal will have the wire from the indicator light would attach to it.
