By: Frigidaire
Part Number: OEM6322554
Manufacturer Part Number: 131719100

This dryer timer is the cycle control that advances your dryer through Timed and Auto Dry settings. Replacing a failed timer restores proper cycle progression, start/stop, and end-of-cycle shutoff.

  • Advances the cam and internal contacts to move the dryer through heat, motor, and cool-down steps
  • Governs run time on Timed Dry and Auto Dry cycles
  • Routes power to the correct circuits in sequence; a failed timer may not advance or may stop early
  • Common symptoms include timer knob not moving, dryer running indefinitely, or not starting on certain settings
What's included: 1 dryer timer assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power; for gas models, also shut off gas
  • Remove knob/dial, open the console, and unmount the timer
  • Label or photograph wiring; transfer wires one at a time to the new timer
  • Reassemble and test both a Timed Dry and an Auto Dry cycle

Hi Kim. Normally there is a wiring diagram with every unit behind the timer. There is a white wire which hooks to the "c" timer terminal that goes to the thermal limiter fuse on the back wall at the 1:00 position. There is a white wire from there as well to the buzzer. Then another one that connects to the timer motor lead there at the "c-terminal as well. The other side of the buzzer has a wire that connects to the "H" terminal. The "A" terminal has a org/tan wire connected to it that goes to the fabric switch # 1 terminal. The "X" terminal has 2-tan wires, one that go to the start switch and the other goes to the motor. The "B" has a red/wht that goes to the drum light. Then the "TM" has a wire from the timer motor and the resistor hooks there as well. The other side of the resister hooks to the "R" terminal. Timer part # 131719100. Thank You.
