Zoltan E. for Model Number 417.98702891 Have a stacked washer/dryer and the pump intermittently stoppped working. This led to a spill in the rinse cycle after the drain cycle failure. Thought the pump had an issue but it is getting only ~40 Volts. Hard wired the pump and it is working fine. Besides the timer could there be another component that drains power? Thanks, Zoltan
Answer Zoltan, The timer is the most likely problem. Power is supplied directly from the timer to the drain pump through the red/white wire. You may want to check the wire to make sure its not loose, pinched, twisted or kinked. But it's most likely a damaged contact inside the timer. Read More...
