Scott for Model Number FLSE72GCSA Trying to figure out if I have a bad washer timer motor. For troubleshooting, I get 120 volts at timer motor leads during spin. For resistance across timer leads, I have 2300 ohms. Washing machine symptoms are washer motor shutting down on heavy loads due to overheating. Most Cycles seem to be slow and sometimes stop mid cycle.
Answer Scott, With the complaint described it does not sound like the timer would be the issue with the unit. You will want to check in between the tubs to make sure that there is nothing caught between them. If this checks ok then the most likely cause would be that the brake is not completely releasing causing drag on the motor which would require a new transmission for this issue. Read More...
