M.T. Ii for Model Number DJXR433EG3WW I just moved into a condo and on my first use of the dryer, the start knob just came off and it seems like the chord that (attached to the backside of the start knob) fell inside the dryer. How do I fix this or is this a costly repair? This is a General Electric (GE) and the model # is DJXR433EG3WW. Please let me know what I need to do or what it might cost me to get this start button repaired and working.?
Answer M.T. II, If the start device itself came loose then you would want to remove the screws across the back top of the dryer to access the control panel. You should be able to reattach the switch to the panel. If unable to do so you would need to get a new start switch part number WE4M519. Read More...
