Victor for Model Number zis480d Hi my name is Victor,I have a GE Monogram refrigerator model #ZIS480D.The problem I am having is that, both the freezer & refrigerator both sides the temperture is warm. The freezer is 12 degrees & the refrigertor is 52 degrees. Every time I unplug it for awhlie & restart it, it starts working ok for a week & then it does the same thing, could it be the main board needs to be changed.
Answer Hello Victor, It could be the main board that is at fault but you would want to check to see if you are having heavy frost build up in the freezer compartment at the evaporator coil. The evaporator coil is located at the top of the freezer compartment. You want to check continuity of the defrost heater WR51X322 and the defrost bimetal WR50X29776. If they check good then you would want to replace the control board WR55X10560 and the evaporator thermistor WR55X10025 if you are getting impacted coils. Also check your condensor coils to make sure that they are clean. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
