Chris for Model Number PSS25SGNABS Hello, I have a GE Fridge about 14 years old model number PSS25SGNABS serial# GD489809. I'm having an issue with the fridge side freezing produce, water etc (too cold) and the freezer side runs warm. Freezer 2-6 degrees while the fridge side is 25-27 degrees. I have replaced the motherboard and it didn't help but I also notice that the mother board may or may not need customizing depending on if its a single evaporator and single compressor model... Can you clarify this and do I need to make adjustments to the new mother board to fit my old fridge? Thanks, Chris
Answer Chris, There is no modification needed for the control board. You will want to check the damper assembly in the refrigerator compartment to make sure that the door is not broken off of it. The freezer temp is within range of 2 to 6 degrees but you could test the thermistor to make sure that it is not defective. If the door of the damper is broken then you will need part number WR49X10091. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 21, 2015
