Gwen for Model Number GE XL 44 all 4 top burners work prooperly ,however the oven does not heat up or turn on when oven burner turned on. Glow ignition does not turn on.
Answer Gwen, You will need to visually check the igniter, to see if it is cracked or broken. If all appears OK, you'll need to get access to a multimeter TJMA-DMT3 and check the igniter WB13K21 for a "closed" circuit. Disconnect the igniter wires from the chassis harness and check for 120 VAC across the wires in a bake selection to see that we're getting voltage from the ERC/Clock. Here's some meter usage information should you need it :[http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] And you'll need a proper model number off the serial plate when you order any parts if needed.
