David Jones for Model Number GTW460ASJ7WW I have a GE GTW460ASJ7WW top load washer which has become loud during the spin cycles. If I spin an empty tub, I hear the typically bearing sound. Not yet loose marbles, but a scraping metal sound. It appears this model does not have a separate tub bearing? Is everything contained in the transmission? I see some DIY help that replaces the tub bearing for these types of issue but do not see that as a part in the diagram. Want to make sure I order the right part for the right issue. Also, any other parts I should replace while the washer is torn down? Belt?
Answer David, As far as any other parts, the belt would not be a bad thing to replace but not much of anything else. The transmission would be the correct part to replace for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 25, 2021
