Robert for Model Number GDT695SMJ5ES Bought a new wd21x31902c user interface and it came with no configuration pins or even tabs to put them on. Installed it and lights all came on but one week later control was dead (no lights).Decided to look at main control board and noticed led was flashing rapidly. Disconnected ui board and no change in control board flashing (should have been solid indicating no comm. with ui board). Do I need a new main control board?Not looking to throw a lot of money at this as it is a 6 year old machine. Thanks
Answer Thank you for your question Robert. It does sound like there's a communication issue between the user interface (UI) and the main control board. Since the UI has already been replaced, the problem could be either the door harness part number WD21X21664 or the main control board part number WD21X32163. The door harness should be tested for continuity from end to end while opening and closing the door. If continuity is lost at any point, the harness will need to be replaced.
