Lionel for Model Number PWE23KSDFSS I need to replace the push on the plastic water line connector on the exterior backside of the refrigerator near the top right side. The connector is 1/4" on both ends. 1/4" to 1/4" tubing connector. Note: After much hassle, GE sent me a replacement part that was 1/4" to 5/16" -it took forever to get -can you get me the correct connector faster? I don't think I need an additional water line but assume that is available too.
Answer Hello Lionel, You will need to order WR02X13738 for a 1/4 to 1/4 connector. To make things go a bit smoother, here is the John Guess Fitting Procedure: To remove: Push line in and hold the ring in, then, while holding the ring in, pull the line out. To re-install, push the line in until resistance is met. Push harder until the line "pops" in another 1/4 inch or so. Pull on the line without touching the ring to seat seal. Read More...
