Mannt for Model Number WCVH6400J1WW During the final spin, there's a banging on the left side of the washing machine. I replaced the 2 springs on top with no change. I noticed when I had the top off that it was very easy to push down on the tub. If the shock absorbers are end of their life, is there a way to see if the shock absorbers are bad by pushing down on the tub?
Answer Hello Mannt, Before suspecting the shocks you should remove the rear panel and check for loose hanging hoses, wiring harnesses, or anything that could have come out of its' retainer and is able to contact the side of the machine during the spin cycle. At his point, you can inspect the shocks for any signs of damage. Normally, if there is a shock issue, damage can be seen during inspection of the parts. Read More...
