Wayne for Model Number JVM1870BF06 I have a spacemaker xl1800. Everything works but no heat come thru. I bought a tester, snd need to know correct method of testing the capacitor, and the Diode-H.v Ass'y to see which one i need. How should I proceed? Do I take the part off and test them, or test them live?
Answer Hello Wayne. Do not test them live. You will remove the diode from the unit. It should only read in one direction. If it reads both ways, it is bad. As for the capacitor, it has the readings on the tag and you will need a tester to test those. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
