Kenny for Model Number WHDSR417D0WW Hi, we have a top load GE washer and the last couple of days we noticed a strong odor while the machine was running, then tonight it started leaking badly while running. We didn't see what cycle it was in, just shut it off when we saw all of the water on the floor. I pulled the front cover off, found a mixture of oil and water in the bottom, and there is a spray pattern of oil around the lower inside of the machine about 3 inches wide. I'm guessing the oil is from the transmission, but not sure where the water came from. The tub was about 2/3 full when we saw the leak and we were able to drain it on it's own. The drain hose clamps appear intact and dry, and the water is puddled on the transmission and brackets directly below the center of the tub. No water anywhere else. What parts do you think I need to replace? Just a note on the odor, we thought it was propane at first (the washer is next to the furnace). We had the odor a day prior to the water leak. Thanks, Kenny
Answer Hello Kenny. It sounds like the tub seal WH02X10383 and transmission WH38X10002 will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 22, 2016
