Answer Hi Bob. Since it is very wise to replace the nut anyway, reinstall it until the back side of the nut is flush with the shaft back side. Then take a block of hardwood and squarely hit the back of the shaft a few times to send a jarring effect into the pully spline to loosen it from the shaft.
