This drive pulley mounts to the washer basket shaft and routes the belt from the motor to spin the drum. Replacing a worn pulley can stop squeal and belt slippage and help restore smooth, reliable spin performance.

  • Transfers motor power via the belt to rotate the wash basket during spin
  • Keeps the belt tracking correctly; damage can cause squealing, fraying, or slippage
  • Typical symptoms: no or slow spin, belt repeatedly coming off, grinding/squealing noises, burning rubber smell, or visible pulley wobble
What's included: 1 drive pulley
  • Disconnect power and water before servicing; pull the unit forward for access
  • Remove the rear panel to access the belt and pulley
  • Slip off the belt, remove the center fastener, and replace the pulley
  • Reinstall the belt on the grooves; verify alignment by hand-rotating the drum before testing

Hi Bob. Since it is very wise to replace the nut anyway, reinstall it until the back side of the nut is flush with the shaft back side. Then take a block of hardwood and squarely hit the back of the shaft a few times to send a jarring effect into the pully spline to loosen it from the shaft. Lubricate it as well with Break Free part # 5303937087. The nut is part # WH2X1203. The pulley is part # WH07X10019. Thank You .
