Amy for Model Number DCEVH515EF0WW Hello, Is there a trick to removing the front bearing from the front panel? Are there screws or do we just try to "jimmy" it out? Also, we obviously need new bearings and glides, but does the felt piece need replacing as well? It looks to be intact and in good shape. If it needs replacing, is it required to glue it in place? It sure does not look as though it was glued in the first place. Thank you!
Answer Hello Amy, The front bearing snaps into the front panel. It really isn't hard to remove or re-install. You just have to make sure not to pinch any wires. Note how the wires are routed before dis-assembly and maybe take a few pictures with your cell phone from different angles to prevent confusion during re-assembly and you will be fine. If the seal fits the front of the drum good it will not need replacement. If it does need replaced, it does glue in with high temperature adhesive (AP4284239). Read More...
