Dave for Model Number drsr495gg9ww Gas dryer - I can hear the gas ignite, but after a few seconds the gas shuts off. Then restarts the cycle again. I do get some heat in the dryer, but it is constantly cycling on/off. Need to replace the main coils on the gas valve? I cleaned out the vent so I don't think it's a high temperature limit trip.
Answer Dave, there is a heat detector on the side of the burner tube, WE4X448, it senses high temperature and will open up when it gets real hot, you can check it for continuity, it should read closed when it is cold, open when it gets hot.
