Judith M for Model Number General Electric JB860SJ9SS While using the front dual burner it made a popping sound and now no longer works. What would cause this? and What part would I need to replace this element? Thank you!
Answer Judith, You would need to test the switch of the burner you were using to determine if the switch or the element has failed. The switch should have continuity between L1 and 2 and L2 and 4 and 4A when the dual is used. Testing should be done with the unit unplugged. If those tests pass then replace your element.
