Todd, the dual infinite switch WB24X25013 would need to be tested for 240VAC from terminal 2 to terminal 4a while the switch is turned on. If there is not 240VAC, the infinite switch has failed and would need to be replaced.

Ed, Easiest to get to the infinite switch to test. On the switch you have terminals that are stamped. No power to unit and turn the switch to a heated position and check continuity from L1 to 2 and L2 to 4 and 4A. If that checks good replace the element.

SallySue, Using a multimeter you will need to test for power at the inner burner. If you have power to the inner burner then the issue would be the burner. If you do not have power to the burner then the issue would be a wiring issue or a switch issue.

Judith, You would need to test the switch of the burner you were using to determine if the switch or the element has failed. The switch should have continuity between L1 and 2 and L2 and 4 and 4A when the dual is used. Testing should be done with the unit unplugged. If those tests pass then replace your element.

Nate, you can check the coils for a break in the element. You will sometimes see a burned spot on one of the coils which indicate that it has failed. To replace the element. you would need part number WB30T10096. If the element checks out ok, the only other option would be a failed infinite switch, part number is WB24T10058
