Ed for Model Number GE JB655SK1SS Electric range smooth cooktop The right front burner went out entirely. My wife cooked on it using both large and small burner. She came back half hour later, turned it on to cook and burner did not heat up at all. Im pretty sure I just need to replace with part 58 GEWB30T10130/AP4344395. Could you confirm this? Or, do I need to check somthing else in addition to this.
Answer Ed, Easiest to get to the infinite switch to test. On the switch you have terminals that are stamped. No power to unit and turn the switch to a heated position and check continuity from L1 to 2 and L2 to 4 and 4A. If that checks good replace the element. Read More...
