Mishkag for Model Number JTP55SM1SS I have a GE double wall oven and need to replace just the "skin" on the cover where the buttons are. The controls work fine but the buttons have cracked and are peeling off. Will buying the part AP4484328 solve this problem? How do I remove the old skin? There are no instructions in the manuals on performing this task.
Answer Hello Mishka! If the faceplate we show matches what you have on then yes, you can use this part to replace your old one. When you peel the old one off, make sure the power is off and use rubbing alcohol to remove all of the original sticky stuff. This will allow the new faceplate to lay evenly and stick properly. After you have allowed ample time for the alcohol to fully dry, you can turn the power to the unit back on. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 8, 2014
