Jim for Model Number WSM2420D0WW Purpose of the thermal fuse? Is it a safety device if dryer overheating as a result of plugged vent. Dryer start button doesn't do anything when pushed on? Could both of these be faulty at the same time?
Answer Hello Jim, The dryer push-to-start switch very seldom fails. It is, however, a very common issue for the home ducting to cause the thermal fuse to fail.
