Albert for Model Number DDE7200SBLWW What is the trick to loading the pulley for the belt tension did not stay on the belt when removing belt, Possibly wrong size belt. GE dryer.
Answer Albert, The correct belt for the model number you supplied is WE12X10014 / WE12X10014. But a worn out or damaged belt wouldn't normally cause a problem with the idler pulley and spring, it will compensate for excess wear but only to a point. You do need to make sure the belt has no twists in it and is properly installed and routed around the drum, before you attempt to install the belt to the idler and motor pulley, this may help. "Front access allows removing belt from idler pulley at lower right. Remove belt as normal then place idler to the right on motor bracket. Lift up the drum, reach under the drum at the center relief on lower front. Pull idler towards center then back underneath the special motor mount bracket. The bracket has a hook that will hold idler arm and allow you to easily place the belt over the idler pulley & motor. " Once installed, turn the drum slowly by hand a few revolutions, this will allow the belt to align itself and the pulleys, if there is a problem, the belt will usually "kick" itself off the idler and or motor pulleys.
