Gus L. for Model Number JGB916SEK4SS what is the difference between this part WB13x25261 and WB13k0021. I replaced the broiler igniter which had gone bad. I replaced with WB13k0021. It works, however, I noticed now that on the original the plug was brown in color and the wires had an insulating sheath over them and the replacement did not. The GE site made it look as the oven uses the same igniter for the broiler and the oven but now I'm not so sure. I'm concerned about the lack of the Insulating sheaths. Your picture shows no insulating sheaths but it does have the brown plug. So are they interchangeable or not?
Answer Hello Gus, The only difference will be the connector. I never use the connectors but use ceramic wire nuts DE81-08428A for the connections which provide better, more reliable electrical connections. This also enables me to install the insulating sleeves from the old ignitor wires for better part longevity. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, December 17, 2016
