Ed D. for Model Number GHDA450L00WW Why does the dishwasher make a loud rumbling noise when running in any mode? This noise louder than when we first bought it. It works fine just makes the loud noise. I tried cleaning the dishwasher with name brand dishwasher cleaner fluid. Still makes the loud noise. Thank you. Ed
Answer Hello Ed, Most of the time when this style dishwasher works fine but makes a loud noise the issue isn't the unit at all, but the installation. A couple of things you might try to quieten the unit is placing a rubber floor mat under the unit and, if possible, putting the rubber floor mat under the feet to prevent vibrations from being transferred to the floor. The same material works well when placed between the unit and the cabinets, as long as you make sure they do not interfere with the door hinges and springs. If the unit is connected to a copper water line, the noise is also reduced by adding a flexible water line between the copper line and the water valve. Many times, simply leveling the unit will reduce the noise. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 20, 2013
