Bill for Model Number GE SPECTRA JBP26WOB3WW Front 8" burner does not match what the knob is set at. I had it on 1-2 and it boiled over a pot of food and coil was completely red. Is it a coil problem or a switch problem? If it is a switch problem which part # will work for me to replace it? Is it fairly easy to do, I'm pretty handy.
Answer Hello Bill. Based on the information you provided, and the model number you provided, it sounds like you will need to replace the switch WB24T10025. These are not hard to change. Just disconnect the power and remove the back cover off the control panel. Then remove the knob and the screws holding the switch in place. Unplug the wires fron the old switch and install them onto the new switch. Make sure you connect them properly. L1 goes to L1 and H1 to H1 ect. Hope this helps. Read More...
