John for Model Number pfcf1nfycbb ice maker stopped working- replaced unit, still no ice .....getting water to valve, water valve tested and is good. no voltage to wire harness. checked continuity through harness-ok. thinking i just need to replace control board??? rest of refrigerator functions are all fine. thanks
Answer John, According to the tech sheet, there should be a constant voltage to the ice maker. You have to test with the door switch closed. Other than that you will need cold enough temps to close the thermostat of the ice maker for it to cycle. If it is cycling then just test for voltage at the water valve when the ice maker is cycling and if you receive 120 VAC then replace the water valve. Read More...
