Steve for Model Number DRSR495gg9WW Dryer motor does operate. When you press start button, the dryer hums but does not operate. Took dryer apart. Removed drum etc. No binding on the motor- spins free. Is there a reset for the motor? Or any other device that would could prevent operation or just the motor. Want to make sure before ordering new motor Thanks
Answer Steve, There is no type of reset or device that would prevent the operation of the motor. You will want to check any pulley or drum bearing to make sure that they are not binding and causing the drum to not turn but it sounds like a motor would be what is needed. Read More...
