Todd for Model Number ZIS420NXA I was able to remove the six screws that attach the transformer box to the bottom of the refrigerator unit. However, once freed from the unit, the transformer box can not be pulled out from under the refrigerator to gain access to the transformer that is in the box. The problem seems to be all the wires that connect into the box limit the movement of the box to only a few inches. There’s not enough slack in the wiring for the box to clear the refrigerator. So, I can’t pull the box out far enough to gain access to the bad transformer. I did manage to rotate the box 90 deg. in one direction while still under the unit, but that’s it. Did not want to force anything for fear of damaging the wiring. Difficult to see anything well enough to know what to do. Seems two commenters have had success in replacing the transformer but I can’t figure out how to make it work. Any advice / hints would be appreciated.
Answer Todd, If you are able to look under the unit and see if there are wire straps that are holding the wires to where there is very little room. This would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 2, 2019
