Dennis August 08, 2021 for Model Number GE Profile Series 42" PSB42YSKBSS French, side by side unit. Interior refrigerator LED lights don't come on unless the freezer door is also opened. Even then, lights in refrigerator are dim and not all on. All other fridge functions work well. Should I replace the LED transformer or the main control board?
1 Answer Dennis, Check the four-door switches first, then check for the incoming power to the Transformer and then power in and out of the CDC Power Board. Read More...
Ted June 07, 2021 for Model Number PSB42YSKBSS Where is the LED transformer (WR62X26946) located for a GE side-by-side built-in profile PSB42YSKBSS? Symptom: main top circuit board light is out. No voltage at the connector - other lights still work, so I think it is the LED transformer but have no idea where it is located. Is it behind the kickplate on the floor? Is it next to the main board? Is it in the fresh food compartment? Thanks!
1 Answer Ted, The LED transformer is not for the display, only for the internal lights. The display board would be powered by the main control board. Read More...
Carlos November 16, 2019 for Model Number ZISP420DHASS the LED panel inside my monogram fridge is not working. Other lights inside are working. Based on other customer comments, it seem that the transformer is the problem and not the LED panel. Is there a way to test the transformer?
1 Answer Carlos, You would test for 120 Vac to the transformer and then 12 VDC coming out. Read More...
Todd December 30, 2018 for Model Number ZIS420NXA I was able to remove the six screws that attach the transformer box to the bottom of the refrigerator unit. However, once freed from the unit, the transformer box can not be pulled out from under the refrigerator to gain access to the transformer that is in the box. The problem seems to be all the wires that connect into the box limit the movement of the box to only a few inches. There’s not enough slack in the wiring for the box to clear the refrigerator. So, I can’t pull the box out far enough to gain access to the bad transformer. I did manage to rotate the box 90 deg. in one direction while still under the unit, but that’s it. Did not want to force anything for fear of damaging the wiring. Difficult to see anything well enough to know what to do. Seems two commenters have had success in replacing the transformer but I can’t figure out how to make it work. Any advice / hints would be appreciated.
1 Answer Todd, If you are able to look under the unit and see if there are wire straps that are holding the wires to where there is very little room. This would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
