John for Model Number JVM1460BA001 One of the cooktop lights burned out. In replacing it the bulb broke from the base. After removing the base and replacing the bulb neither cooktop light worked. Is there a fuse that may have burned out? The microwave still works other than those two lights.
Answer John, there are one of two possibilities that may have occurred. The first possibility would be that the main control WB27X10132 lamp relay may have been damaged and would need to be replaced. This can be tested by testing for 120VAC going to the lamps when the lamp button is activated. If there is not 120VAC going to the lights, then the main control would need to be tested for outgoing voltage. If there is not voltage, then the main control has failed. If there is 120VAC, then the 2nd possibility has occurred and there is a broken wire. The broken wire would need to be traced to find where it has failed, and then repaired as necessary. Unfortunately, if the main control has failed, it has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 30, 2019
