What is the replacement bulb # I can take the door down, where the bulb is but it's too hard to get to the socket. If I take the lower black plate off the bottom of the Microwave will it be easier to get to the socket so I can replace the new bulb? Thank you Carl

Dean M. April 13, 2020 Tried to remove WB25x10030 bulbs from my micro wave. Both bulbs twisted off, leaving the socket still in. Because you have to stand on your head to do this job, I have not yet tried to remove them. Cheap bulbs, thank you. Any advise on the easy way to do this?
1 Answer Dean, Make sure you remove power to the microwave before you do anything, A small pair of needle-nosed pliers will come in handy. First, try and insert the pliers into the remaining light socket base, spread the handles and turn the pliers counterclockwise. If the base won't turn, grasp the edge of the socket base with the pliers and turn the base counterclockwise, until you can get enough of the base out enough to turn it by hand. You may want to apply a thin coat of dielectric grease to the threaded portion of the lightbulb base. this will help to keep the bulb from seizing to the socket, then restore power and check the microwave for operation. Bonnie January 08, 2020 for Model Number GE I can't get the screw out in order to get at the burned out bulb . The screw just turns around and around, but doesn't unscrew. Help thanks, Bonnie
1 Answer Bonnie, Use a small flat blade screwdriver(pocket screwdriver) carefully insert the blade between the body and the panel being held by the screw, slightly twist the screwdriver, to produce pressure on the panel, and unscrew the screw at the same time. Once you get the screw far enough out to unscrew with your fingers. You'll need to take the screw to the local hardware store or home improvement center, and have them get you the same screw, the next size larger. Once the bulb is replaced reinstall the panel and new screw, just don't overtighten the screw. Read More...
