Alfredo for Model Number JES 1142WD04 GE microwave model GE JES1142WD04. When the door is opened the fuse blows. Have to unplug. Put item to be heated inside. Close door. Plug back. Program and heat. When done, unplug, take item out, close door. If the door should be opened when the oven is plugged the fuse will blow. How is this issue fixed?
Answer Hello Alfredo, This is a bad door switch. As per manufacturers' recommendations, all three switches should be replaced at the same time since they all carry the same current in the same circuit and when one fails, the other two will follow shortly.
