Joe December 15, 2015 for Model Number ZE2160SF01 My microwave will countdown, but is silent. I hear a click behind the control panel. Is this part the likely culprit?
1 Answer Hello Joe. You will need to check the door switches and see if one is bad and needs to be replaced in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Azadar October 09, 2015 for Model Number ZE2160SF04 Yesterday I set my microwave on express (6 min cooking), after 5 minutes, I just opened the door to get the food out. Later I realized microwave oven is powered OFF because there was no light or digital clock on front display/panel. I tried to turn it on by pressing front panel ON/OFF but it won't turn on. I went to circuit breaker and saw it was turned OFF. I turned it back to ON position and came back and reset the clock/time on microwave oven. Now the moment I try to use my microwave oven and close the door it trips the circuit breaker again, I went back to my circuit breaker and turned ON, came back tried to use microwave oven it trips circuit breaker again. Every time I tried it did the same thing. Now my microwave oven is completely shutdown (OFF), no power, no more circuit breaker tripping etc. Can you please tell me what is wrong or what part I need and how it can be installed?
1 Answer Hello Azadar, You should first check the door switches, WB24X823 two of these and one WB24X10103. These are accessed by removing the air grill and removing the control panel. They are to the left and the door switch holder (lock assembly) should come out after removing the two or three retaining screws. Read More...
Rick November 12, 2014 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 Hi, I'm trying to troubleshoot my GE microwave oven, hopefully you can help me. The microwave functions normally 70% of the time. With increasing frequency however, the microwave seems to stop heating. The fans running completely stop, however the timer keeps counting down and beeps at the end. I believe the food is cooler than usual when this happens so it's probably more than just the cooling fans. Thanks for your help!
1 Answer Hello Rick. The model number you provided is for a dryer. We will need the microwave model number to help you with this. Please post a new question with the microwave model number. Thank you. Read More...
Emmanuel July 25, 2014 for Model Number JE2160BF03 I have a JE2160BF03 GE microwave and have a burnt switch. I think it is either the primary interlock or monitor switch - not sure. The switch part # is AH7350669F. Can you help me find the part # I need - the old switch seems to be obsolete. Thank you Emmanuel
1 Answer Hello! The primary/secondary switch is WB24X823 has two connectors. The micro switch substitute is part number WB24X10103 has three connectors. The interlock switch WB24X824 has two connectors. The unit uses all three and it's recommended that you replace all three. Thanks! Read More...
Colin May 27, 2014 for Model Number MCO153UWF Good afternoon, I'm looking for door switches for a Magic Chef over the range microwave model MCO153UWF. Do you have any in stock? Thank You
Alfredo February 07, 2014 for Model Number GE JES1142WD04 As per manufacturers' recommendations, all three switches should be replaced at the same time since they all carry the same current in the same circuit and when one fails, the other two will follow shortly. You will need to order two WB24X823, and one WB24X824. Can't I just use (3) WB24X823 switches ($5 each). The two WB24X823 at $50 ($100) each will cost what a new oven would. Not cost effective to repair?
1 Answer Alfredo, Unfortunately the primary and secondary switch is different than the monitor switch so the Micro switch substitute will not work for your unit. Read More...
Alfredo January 27, 2014 for Model Number JES 1142WD04 GE microwave model GE JES1142WD04. When the door is opened the fuse blows. Have to unplug. Put item to be heated inside. Close door. Plug back. Program and heat. When done, unplug, take item out, close door. If the door should be opened when the oven is plugged the fuse will blow. How is this issue fixed?
1 Answer Hello Alfredo, This is a bad door switch. As per manufacturers' recommendations, all three switches should be replaced at the same time since they all carry the same current in the same circuit and when one fails, the other two will follow shortly. You will need to order two WB24X823, and one WB24X824. Read More...
Jeff October 30, 2013 for Model Number ZE2160SF GE Monogram Microwave How is a WB24X10103 used as a Substitute for a WB24X824? Would you remove one of the tabs be it the Normally open or Normally closed to have the same tab configuration as the WB24X824?
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Look on the old switch and by each spade it is labeled NC,NO, or COM. You will install the wires on the new switch in the same configuration. Read More...
Eric October 07, 2013 for Model Number Daewoo microwave KOR-1N0A I have a Daewoo microwave model KOR-1N0A. I need to replace the top of the 3 door switches (model #56001036.) Will the Micro Switch-Substitute part # AP3186054 replace this switch as long as I wire it properly? It seems like this switch will replace any of my three door switches since it can be wired either open or closed since it has three terminals?
1 Answer Hello Eric, I tried with no sucess to pull the parts list on this model so I can only tell you that if the ratings on the side of the new switches are the same or higher than those on the old switches, they will work when wired properly. If the ratings on the new switches are lower than the ones on the old switches, they will not work and could cause a safety hazard. Read More...
