Ted for Model Number Gss23qwsa ss The auger will not turn on my ice dispenser. The prong will turn when I remove the ice bin. When I slightly touch the prong it will not turn. Is it the motor?
Answer Hello Ted, If you can stop the motor by touching it slightly, and it has proper voltage to it, (120Vac), the motor WR60X10258 is bad, even if the threads are stripped since most of the time the threads on the motor shaft are the ones that strip. I would replace the yoke WR02X11941 also if the threads are stripped since it will mess up the threads on the old yoke to remove it from the old motor across the stripped threads. Read More...
