Tom G. for Model Number gsh25sgress why does my refer make a hoooooooooo! sound off and on? It runs like this for long periods of time and then will stop. Its really becoming annoying. Could it be the evapotator fan motor?
Answer Tom, Yes, it could be the evaporator fan, WR60X10185 making the noise. The fan spped is controlled through the sensors and the "motherboard" and can make noises when it has started to fail. You're sure the noise is from the evaporator fan(in the freezer compartment) because the condenser fan motor works on the theory( in the back bottom of the fridge) Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
