Km R. for Model Number PSI23SGMC BS Is there a video or some instructions on hot to unplug the fan to test it or to replace the fan. Again, it's sort of a vigrating & rattling sound and it mostly makes that noise when i open and close the refrigerator door. Please refer to my previous question which you have already provided some answer. Thanks, KM
Answer Hi KM R. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. At the main control board find the J 2 connector. Then you put the black meter lead on the J 2 - pin 3 white/silver wire. Then put the red meter wire on the red wire of the connector. J 2 pin 5. Make sure that you have 12 vdc coming out of the main board when the unit is in the normal cooling mode. The yellow wire to the motor is a sign wire that sends frequency pulses back and forth to the board to keep the motor running at a speed desired and needed for the freezer cavity. This board terminal post can only be tested from a meter with frequency measuring capability. If the fan is shorted then the main board needs to be replaced. Un hook the J-2 connector at the board. At the white and red wire, you should have 1.5-3k ohms for a good winding. If not then you need the condenser fan part # WR60X10209. The main board is part # WR55X10942C. Thank You. Read More...
