Tom for Model Number GSS25JFPAWW I have GE refrigerator model# GSS25JFPAWW. Most recently, the condenser fan does not work. I replace the Motor dc con with a new one which I bought from here. The new one still does not work. I check the motor plug. The reading is : red vs white : 13.8 v; red vs yellow: 13.8 v. How can I know the control board is bad? Thanks,
Answer Tom, Unless you mis typed your information, you will need to recheck the the DC voltage at the main control board. The J2 connector on the board, pin3(white) to pin 5 (yellow) has to have at least 12 VDC, pin 3(white) to pin 8(red) has to have at least 12 VDC. If you have at least 12 VDC on the tested pins, then the main control board is OK, and you'll need to check the wiring from the control board to the fan motor and the fan motor resistance (1.5 to 3.0 ohms resistance) If all's OK, you have a faulty fan motor.
