Bd for Model Number PSC25SGSC SS The freezer will warm to the point the ice melts in the upper storage bin and water runs down in freezer and freezes in the lower sections. I can feel cold air coming out of the extreme lower portion of the rear freezer near the evaporator. Is the mother board bad or is it the evaporator fan motor? I have already changed all thermistors and the defrost temp sensor on the evaporator.
Answer Hello Bd, You want to check to make sure that your evaporator fan motor WR60X10307 is running. There is a possibility that the control board WR55X10942C could be defective but you want to make sure that you are getting power to the evaporator fan motor. If no power to the fan motor then you want to check your board. At the board on connector J2 pin 3 to pin 4, using a multi-meter, you should have 8 to 12.4 VDC. On the motor you should see the same values between white and yellow. The fan motor comes with new evaporator thermistor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
