Kim for Model Number GE PSS26MSTE SS I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator. I just replaced the damper assembly and water reservoir. I put everything back together, and now the water filter cartridge won't go into the head assembly. I've replaced the filter every six months for years now and never had a problem. Usually once you get the filter started, the assembly automatically sucks it up into place. This is not happening. Do I need to replace the assembly, or is this a different problem? Thanks!
Answer Kim, If the filter will not go into the filter head then either the filter is defective or the filter head assembly would need to be replaced.
